ESCALE's monthly release series "The Good Light" continues with Ep. 11: "Up Until That Point". Constructed from long-lost, enigmatic loops and melodies, a sense of tension immediately builds: an analog alarm merges into a steady bassline and distorted beats, while a pastoral but mysterious vintage synth lurks in the distance. The SYO mix introduces even more mystique as insistent countermelody ebbs and flows, pans, and fades. "Up Until That Point" showcases ESCALE's knack for combining seemingly disparate genres and ambiguous atmospheres into music that presents a unique, sometimes challenging listening experience.
